CLICK PHOTOS FOR A LARGER IMAGE OF HANGZHOU SCENES

Photos taken by Ted Wilson around the famous Westlake in Hangzhou. You will always be pleasantly surprised by the scenery, restaurants, art museums, hotels and most of all, the abundance of tourists strolling along the avenues that surround the lake. The cleanliness, flowers and police make this a safe place both day and night. The lake itself is enormous and boat rides are cheap and a relaxing way to enjoy afternoon tea while cruising around the sights. Summer months in Hangzhou tend to be warm, so no need for a jacket in August. From the lake to the ice rink is 20 min by taxi or bicycle. There are free and very low cost bike rentals all around the lake but also around the city and dedicated bike paths on every street.
