OPENING DAY FOR WORLD ICE ARENA

On April 22nd, the new MIXC mall will open and people will see the new ice rink for the first time. It will NOT open to the public at that time because the MIXC has commissioned David Liu and Darren Olivero to produce a huge professional ice show that will run from May 1st to 5th. As there will be additional seating galleria build on top of the ice at one end and 2 rows on either side, the Olympic size ice surface will become smaller and not able to facilitie a public skating session. On the other end, there will be 10 meters of ice staging setup with water pools and large video screens. The public from April 22nd to May 1st can watch the large group of international skater practice all day everyday. After the show closes from May 6 to 9, they will remove all of the ice show things so we can open to the public on May 10th. We will limit crowd sizes for a period of time as not to overwhelm our new staff and also help control potential skating accidents which always occur when a new rink opens.
